Q: What makes Baked by Nana different?
A: We bake everything with fresh milled flour, organic ingredients, and natural, dye-free colorings. That means our cakes aren’t just beautiful on the outside, they’re wholesome and clean on the inside too. We like to think of it as buttercream with a conscience.
Q: Do you make gluten-free cakes?
A: Yes! Any of our baked goods can be made gluten free. We don’t believe anyone should ever have to miss out on cake.
Q: How far in advance should I place my order?
A: We require at least 2 weeks notice for custom cakes, but highly recommend 3–4 weeks’ notice to help insure availability since we often fill up quickly. For weddings or larger events, 2–3 months is even better. The sooner you book, the better chance we have to reserve your date.
Q: Do you offer tastings?
A: We don’t offer traditional tastings since we are a cottage bakery, but we do whip up sample boxes a few times a year with our seasonal flavors. Keep an eye on our social media so you don’t miss them!
Q: Where are you located?
A: We’re a cottage bakery, which means we don’t have a storefront. Everything is baked fresh from home and available by pre-order only.
Q: What kinds of cakes do you make?
A: We specialize in custom buttercream cakes. No fondant here! From whimsical kids’ birthdays to elegant wedding cakes, we love making each design personal to you.
Q: How do I order?
A: You can message us on social media. Once we know your vision, we’ll work out the details, pricing, and pickup or delivery info.
Q: Do you only make cakes?
A: Cakes are our specialty, but we also make cupcakes, cookie cakes, donuts, bread, pie and a few other sweet surprises, especially when we debut new flavors at markets and pop-ups!
